Deforestation is a key nature-related impact. By investing or providing services to companies that produce, trade or process forest risk commodities - such as palm oil, soy and beef - banks and investors become exposed to regulatory, reputational and financial risk.
Watch the recording of this webinar to hear from:
- Ashish Sharma, Vice-President for Asia Sustainable Finance at WWF-Singapore, who presented key findings from WWF’s Sustainable Banking Assessment 2022.
- Ben Levett, Researcher at Trase and Neural Alpha, who gave a presentation on deforestation due diligence, and how Trase can support these processes.
- Joanne Lee, Responsible Investment Specialist, who discussed how First Sentier Investors has understood and managed deforestation, including drawing on Global Canopy’s Finance Sector Roadmap.
