Kamal is a researcher at Auriga Nusantara, a Strategic Partner of Trase for Indonesia. He joined Trase in 2022, focusing on supporting data for Indonesia's palm oil supply chain. He was a member of the 2019 National Palm Oil Cover Reconciliation Team, coordinated by the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, which produced data on Indonesia's palm oil cover. Beyond data work, his responsibilities also include developing and coordinating Trase's agenda in Indonesia. Kamal holds a degree in Forestry from the University of Lampung (2019). He is passionate about ecology and conservation, sustainability, and leveraging geospatial data to support supply chain transparency.
