Sesilia Maharani Putri

Sesil is a researcher at Auriga Nusantara, a Strategic Partner of Trase in Indonesia. She works with Trase on research and data related to Indonesia’s commodity supply chains, particularly on deforestation and land-use change. She also coordinates MapBiomas Fire Indonesia, working with the MapBiomas network to develop and maintain data on fires and burned areas across Indonesia. Through her work with Trase and MapBiomas, she is interested in making environmental data more accessible and useful for understanding supply chains and supporting more sustainable land-use practices.

Sesil holds a degree in Forestry and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Geography. She enjoys working with geospatial data and exploring how data can be used to better understand Indonesia’s forests, landscapes, and commodity supply chains.
