Locations and attributes of slaughterhouses and other livestock processing facilities in Brazil, compiled from federal, state, and municipal inspection registries.

The legal name of the company under which the facility operates. Specifically, this is the name registered in the SISBI (Sistema Brasileiro de Inspeção de Produtos) system or that holds the SIF (Serviço de Inspeção Federal) registration

Brazilian National Registry of Legal Entities number (tax ID)

Official registration number of the facility under the relevant inspection system

Brazilian municipal code (IBGE format) where the facility is located

The sanitary inspection agency under which the facility is registered, each corresponding to the level of Government. SIF (Serviço de Inspeção Federal) is federal level, SIE (Serviço de Inspeção Estadual) is state level, SIM (Serviço de Inspeção Municipal) is municipal level, and CONSORCIO (consortium) is inter-municipal

Brazilian state where the facility is located

Current operational status of the facility

Municipality where the facility is located

Longitude coordinate of the facility location

Latitude coordinate of the facility location

Type of commodity or product processed (e.g., Dairy, Beef, Chicken)

Data source system or database: either SISBI (specifically SISBI-POA, the Sistema Brasileiro de Inspeção de Produtos de Origem Animal); or SIF (Serviço de Inspeção Federal)

Type of facility in English (e.g. Dairy factory, Poultry farm, Slaughterhouse)

The type of products processed by the facility in English (e.g. Milk and dairy products, Meat and meat products)

The type of products processed by the facility in Portuguese

Description of facility capacity in Portuguese

Description of facility capacity in English (e.g. Kg/day, Animal/hour)

The facility's processing capacity, in numerical value. Note that the unit that this number is in (e.g., kg/day, L/day) may vary, according to the capacity description field

Unique identifier for the facility as provided by the data source system or database (SIF or SISBI). The same facility might have multiple records if it processes more than one commodity

Globally unique identifier for the facility, constructed as '<inspection_level><cleaned_cnpj><inspection_num>_1'. The same ID may appear in multiple records if it processes more than one commodity
